The Marysville Levee Commission was established by the State Legislature in 1876 for the purpose of construction and repair of levees in the City of Marysville.  The Levee District encompasses the lines of the levees within the City.  The Commission is separate and independent from the City.  Members are directly elected and serve four-year terms.  There is one scheduled meeting each year, which is held on the first Monday of April.  Special meetings are scheduled as the need arises.  All meeting agendas are posted at the Marysville Post Office for public inspection, and on the City's web site.
